World Missions

At Turning Leaf Community we support global missions through Nazarene Missions International. We minister in 151 world areas and have more than 770 missionaries that originate from 34 world areas. There were 452 Mission Corps volunteers, including 25 tentmakers in 2007. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries supports 10,205 children through Child Development in 79 countries. Work & Witness deployed 651 teams (an average of 13 teams per week), and 10,695 participants donated more than 337 years of labor in 2007. The Border Initiative, a ministry partnership between the World Mission and USA/Canada Mission/Evangelism departments, has a team of missionaries in place who will develop and implement strategies to promote growth and development of the Church of the Nazarene on both sides of the Mexico/United States border. Local Missions

We emphasize the four following areas at TLC: interceding for leaders and churches and for the Holy Spirit to draw all people to Christ; devoting ourselves and our resources, including World Evangelism Fund, to extend Christ’s kingdom; mentoring and involving all people including youth and children, to make Christlike disciples in the nations; informing people of community and world’s needs, enabling our church to meet those needs in Christ.
