Israel & Martha Acosta (Guatamala)

Israel and Martha are one of our LINKS missionaries for the next two years and are global missionaries with the Church of the
Nazarene. They have served in the MAC (Mexico/Central America) Regional Office in Guatemala since 2000. Israel is the Field Strategy Coordinator for the MAC Central Field and Martha serves as his assistant.

They are both originally from Nicaragua.
Israel earned a B.A. degree in Accounting from the Autonomous University of Nicaragua and is a C.P.A. Prior to assuming his
position with the regional office, he served as a layman, district
treasurer, and member of the District Advisory Board on the
Central District in Nicaragua. He worked as an administrator and finance director in a computer company. Israel is also an elder with
the Church of the Nazarene.

Martha graduated from the Autonomous University of Nicaragua with a B.S. degree in Education. She served as a laywoman and District NMI President for the Central District in Nicaragua. Prior to accepting her regional office assignment, she had worked for
World Vision Nicaragua.

In answering God’s call, the Acostas share a deep conviction for
service to the Lord in leaving everything secular so that they
could give 100% for His Kingdom. They have consecrated their entire lives to God including their time, talents, gifts, and personal finances. He enjoys his position in the Regional Office, seeing it as
an opportunity for furthering the Kingdom.

They have three children: Israel, Jairo, and Marlon and one
grandchild.
